Fishaus: Riverfront Cabin

Welcome to Fishaus, a riverfront Montana cabin set directly on the banks of the Bitterroot River. With private river access, wildlife just outside the door, and downtown Hamilton a short drive away, Fishaus is a comfortable home base for experiencing the Bitterroot Valley.

The home is built with classic log construction, exposed timbers, and handcrafted railings that give it a true Montana cabin feel. Recent updates and thoughtful furnishings make the space comfortable without taking away from its original character.

Fishaus accommodates up to six guests with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The main living area brings everyone together with vaulted ceilings, large windows overlooking the river, comfortable seating, and a wood-burning fireplace. Whether you're coming back from a day of fishing or settling in during the winter, it's an easy place to relax and spend time together.

The kitchen is fully equipped with updated appliances and everything needed to prepare meals at home. Just outside, a covered porch and screened-in porch provide space for morning coffee, dinner, or simply watching the river go by.

Upstairs, the primary bedroom features a king bed, private bathroom with a jetted soaking tub and tiled shower, vaulted ceilings, and a private walk-out deck overlooking the Bitterroot River. It's a great spot to start the morning and watch for the wildlife that regularly moves through the property, including eagles, osprey, deer, wild turkeys, waterfowl, and occasionally moose.

Two additional bedrooms are located on the main level, each with a queen bed and access to a shared guest bathroom.

One of the best parts of Fishaus is its setting. Large picture windows look across the Bitterroot River toward protected conservation land, keeping the view open and largely undeveloped. Guests also have direct access to the river from the property, making the home especially well suited for anglers and anyone looking to spend time outside.

The home includes Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a collection of movies, and a small desk upstairs for guests who need to get some work done during their stay.

Fishaus isn't about trying to recreate a Montana experience—it's a real river cabin in one of the best settings in the Bitterroot Valley. Spend the day fishing, exploring the valley, or heading into Hamilton, then come back to the river and enjoy the quiet.
